Engaging the adolescent is a cornerstone of effective treatment—without their active participation, meaningful change is unlikely to occur. These courses focus on developmentally attuned, relationally driven strategies that help young people feel seen, heard, and empowered in their recovery journey.

This comprehensive course introduces clinicians to the Eating Disorder Therapy Cards a creative, evidence-informed tool designed to support emotional and psychological recovery in adolescents and adults with eating disorders.

ADOLESCENT & PARENT TREATMENT (APT) 

An Integrated Treatment for Adolescent Anorexia Nervosa.

Emerging treatment approaches for adolescent anorexia nervosa & Atypical anorexia nervosa are taking an integrative stance, blending a flexible family approach to re-feeding with individualised psychological treatment for the adolescent. One such framework currently under development is Adolescent & Parent Treatment(APT).

Please Note: These courses offer developmentally sensitive approaches to engaging adolescents in eating disorder treatment. However, it is essential to remember that Anorexia Nervosa is a life-threatening illness. All interventions must be delivered within a coordinated team of professionals, with medical stability continuously monitored by a GP or paediatrician.This content is intended for experienced clinicians to safely integrate into their existing practice.
